apple iPhone 3G

Apple launched iPhone 3G in July 2008 in Pakistan. The phone received enough media attention to warrant iPhone’s royalty status in the big scheme of things. While the hype was definitely huge, this phone would have done well irrespective thanks to its superior design and of course the addition of the elusive 3G compatibility.

To say that Apple’s iPhone revolutionized the smartphone market is no over-statement. iPhone 3G might not be a path breaker but it definitely silenced the plethora of critics of iPhone whining away for the lack of features especially 3G in the phone. While the Edge network or 2E is definitely workable it is by no means as fast as the swift 3G. iPhone 3G brought this feature into the Apple lineup further endearing it to the Apple fans.

The phone had a 3.5 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display that was both clear and crisp. A 412 MHz ARM 11 processor that ran the user friendly iOS made this phone very easy and efficient to work with. A multitude of features were never Apple’s forte, it believes in providing quality and ease of use to its users coupled with a design that is bound to be the owner’s pride.

iPhone 3G had a decent 2MP rear camera but lacked a front one for video calls and did not have a video recorder either. A couple of points that were criticized and were later addressed by Apple in its iPhone 3GS upgrade. This was a very good phone though its price a bit heavy on the pocket, it managed to spoil its users for any other mobile handset.
