“LG Optimus F5”; A New Mid Range Smartphone Announced By LG

A couple of days ago specs of two new handsets from LG were leaked and now LG has officially unveiled both of the devices. These devices include LG Optimus F5 and a larger one named LG Optimus F7. Well, these devices do not feature the top of the art technology but still they come with a very decent set of specs including 4G LTE connectivity. Of course both are Android powered smartphones and these will be targeting the mid range level customers.

Decent Specifications

Basically, the LG Optimus F5 is the smaller sibling here as it will be coming with a 4.3 inch IPS display along with qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It will be coming with a 1.2GHz dual core processor under the hood. We don’t know the maker of the processor right now, but it will also include 1GB of RAM. In addition to that, there is a 5MP camera on the rear with auto focus and you will also be getting a 1.3 MP camera on the front. In addition to that, 8GB of internal memory will also be included and you can expand it with the help of microSD memory card.

Powered With Jelly Bean

In addition to that LG Optimus F5 is going to be 9.3 mm thick, well it is a bit more but we don’t mind because it will be featuring a very powerful battery of 2150 mAh. On the software side, LG will be releasing this device with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean loaded out of the box. In addition to that, Android 4.1.2 will be customized with LG’s own UI which will also include the popular QSlide feature which is used for multitasking as well as the Live Zooming tweak.

LG has promised to release this device in Europe first and if you are in Europe you will be able to get your hands on this new mid range device in the second quarter of this year. We don’t know much about pricing right but stay tuned for more.
