After Taiwan And Sweden, Samsung Nvidia Tegra 2-powered Galaxy R Soon To Be Released In Asia
Samsung announced at IFA held last month that it is going to expand Galaxy S family by adding new “R”, “W”, “M” and “Y” branded phones. And now Samsung has fulfilled what they had said by releasing a new Galaxy R (R is for Royal). This Galaxy R smartphone is initially released in Taiwan. Actually it was first unveiled in Sweden last month along with Galaxy Z but the company took more than one month to re-brand it according to its moniker.
Features
Some of the features of this Galaxy R are:
- 4.19 inch Touch Screen Display
- Super clear LCD (quite resembling with Galaxy S)
- Nvidia`s dual core Tegra 2 Processor Chip
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS
This is the first Smartphone of Samsung which is Tegra-powered and running on Android too. Some other features are high quality games, 1080 pixels output of video along with Adobe Flash. The interesting thing is going to be the competition with Galaxy S that Galaxy R can leave its predecessor behind or not. Exynos 4210 chip present in Galaxy S, is designed as to clock the fastest GPU in any phone these days.
Soon To Be Released In Asia
Galaxy R is only released in Taiwan and Sweden for now and it is worth $546. Samsung is planning to release this phone in other regions of the world soon, which mainly include North & Eastern Europe, South East & West Asia, Middle East Asia and China.
