Control System Settings Using Siri Powered Tweak

After iOS 5 was released in October, we have seen many new Cydia tweaks which offer the iOS 5 only related functions. Notification Center is one of the most popular functions introduced by iOS 5 and we can say that many of the developers are targeting it to get some new and innovative tweaks. But still, all the credit goes to Siri, it is the technology which has changed the mobile world and many developers are working very hard to bring some new tweaks using Siri.

Jailbreak Required For Developing Any Siri Tweak

Currently, as we all know that Siri is only limited to iPhone 4S and we don’t have found any jailbreak solution for the device yet. So, it is quite difficult for the developers at this time to produce any working Siri tweak, and the main reason is the lack of jailbreak, because nobody would be able to run that tweak without the jailbreak.

Tweak Ready; Now Just Waiting For A5 Devices Jailbreak

Somehow, it seems like iOS developers have taken a step further and are only waiting for the release of jailbreak for A5 devices. A developer named Hamza Sood presented a tweak which was integrated with Siri and its function was to mimic the functionality of the popular SBSettings. It basically means that the new tweak had same abilities like SBSettings had mainly like adjusting the back light illumination on the device, activating airplane mode or toggling the cellular data service on or off. You can take a look at the screenshots below to get a clear idea:iphone tweaks

Another Siri tweak which is almost ready for public release is called SiriPrefs, which is also having the abilities similar to SBSettings and integrating it with Siri.  But in this case, the Siri tweak uses Microsoft search engine Bing as a tool for navigating which will allow users to open up any installed app or even any of the preferences present in the Settings app.
