Download “Notificator” For iPhone To Enhance Your iOS Notifications Experience

Apple launched the official final public version of iOS 5 along with the current iPhone 4S last year. iOS 5 brought over 200 new features and it also included the new and improved notification system which has been called the most awaited addition to the iOS. Previously, iOS builds had a very ugly and intrusive system to handle the notification. Previous notification was providing a terrible user experience and it was also damaging the beauty of the OS, with that notification system users were interrupted every time something happened.

So, the new Notification Center introduced in iOS 5 is really a big step ahead for iOS and these style banner alerts are getting largely positive response from the users. But today we are going to discuss a tweak which will enhance the functionality of this Notification Center in a very constructive way. We all are aware that jailbreak developers usually try to find new solutions and improvements to the existing system software. In this new tweak, the developer lets users to extend the new notification center to offer user enhancements and it will also be allowed to provide notifications for a wide array of system based events.

Notificator

The tweak is called Notificator and it is developed by an iOS developer, McKnight. It enhances the functionality of the current notification system and provides it additional capability to allow users to add more options in the notification tray. Here is what Cydia has to say about this handy tweak:

Notificator customises iOS notifications as you want them to be. It is a tweak that allows you to get notifications about system events on your device. You can replace existing events like the low battery alert by a less intrusive banner or add new notifications to events like joining a WiFi network, installing an application or even switching to a 3G/Edge area.

It is surprising to see that by now no one has implemented similar concept and we should keep in mind that Notificator is a very professional tool and an outsider will find this perfectly native, as Apple has made everything that way. It will prove very useful if users will be notified with a wide variety of system events and in my opinion many users will implement this.

Events That Will Be Notified

Following are events which can be allowed to receive notifications from with the help of Notificator tweak:

  • 3G/EDGE signal event.
  • Installation of a new application.
  • Power events.
  • When the device is syncing.
  • Wi-Fi based events.
  • Bluetooth toggled on/off.
  • Airplane event.
  • Headset enabled.
  • Screenshot.

You can get Notificator at BigBoss repo of Cydia for $0.99 and it requires iOS 5 or higher to run.
