Handsets of Worth Rs 45 Billion imported in Pakistan in Year 2010/11

As the time is passing the demand of mobile phones is increasing. This growing demand of mobile phones has resulted in boosting the business of mobile phones. Every week a new technology is introduced in the market. So this demand of mobile phones and it’s import and export will increase day by day.

Pakistan has imported handsets of worth Rs 45 Billion in 2010 and 2011.According to the FBS report handsets import and then sales in the market suddenly flowed to marvelous growth of 70 percent in present year as compared to the previous years.

Import bill of different brands registered at Rs. 44.69 billion in the financial present year of 2010 and 2011.More or less the average monthly outflow of money of these handsets has reached Rs 3.72 billion in year 2011 versus Rs 2.2 billion monthly import bill of year 2010.

According to the report of the analysts, the growth and import of handsets is increasing because of the increase in local demands, as well as the increasing number of SIMs of different operators.

As we see the customer always go with the emerging trends, style and technology of the brands, they replace the cell which is in use with the latest one. Nowadays it does not matter that a phone is Chinese or German, if the latest technology and style is there then it will definitely attract the customers.

Considering the details given by marketing dealers the figure of handset sales increased to a million units per month which is the double fiscal as compared to the last year. Demands have also increased because of theft cases, snatching issues and also the dysfunctional of gadgets in the local market of big cities.Rural areas have also given a big stand to handsets market as they are getting informed about easy to use and affordable price handsets.

In present year more than 80% handsets have been imported from china including Chinese brand and renowned brands of multiple features and lower as well as of higher prices.
