Increasing Number Of Spam Messages By Cellular Companies

There are many kinds of SMS received by mobile users of Pakistan in every hour just like to download ringtones for the new songs, win gold by answering the questions and many other things like these.

In the start these messages received by mobile users were a part of a free VAS whose aim was to make sure that the customers get all the information about latest offers but now it has now become a source of making money to cellular companies.

Quizes, Lucky draws and Games etc Through Messages From Cellular Companies

The cellular companies through some questions to the customers and then make them to participate by answering that questions. These questions are sent to all customers except the postpaid ones.

Rs. 10 is being charged for answering a single question in that contest or lucky draw. Millions of customers reply to these messages. So you can imagine how much revenue they generate through this campaign.

For the maximum participation of customers these messages are also sent in roman Urdu and Unicode. By sending messages in these languages they make sure that every mobile user can totally understand.

For MNP user things get worse because not only there current operator send messages but there former operator will also send them these messages.

How To Stop These Messages?

There is a facility available for stoping these irritating messages to do that, call the helpline and get your number out of list for these messages. But many users told that they do so but of no use they are still getting these irritating messages.

You can contact PTA for this situation. In stooping these messages it would be beneficial for both the user and company as they save much of their time and resources by not sending those who are not interested.
