Install Siri On Your iPod Touch By Restoring iPhone 4s Back Up Data

Recent months have been really wild, mostly because of the new service released by Apple called Siri. Really, the world has gone mad with the Siri, as we have seen so many things which are Siri related like jailbreak tweaks, GUI ports, proxy servers, YouTube videos and so much more circulating the web world. Here we can say that even Apple would not have thought that Siri would make everyone crazy and the older generation device owner’s would be dreaming about it as well.

Since its release, many developers and hackers have been trying to find out a way to port Siri on their non-supported devices. Many of these attempts are found out to be a scam and nothing else, while we have also seen some of the successful ports but those were not legal and an iPhone 4S was required to keep them alive. You can imagine how much popular Siri has gotten, as in the recent days there are a lot of Siri like apps available at Android Market as well. Today, we have found out that a twitter user, “AppleGordon” was able to run Siri on his iPod touch somehow.

Gordon stated that he recently bought a new iPod touch, which as you know, does not come with Siri pre installed because Siri does not support any device other than the iPhone 4S. So, after taking it home, Gordon did not tried to use it as a new device and wanted to restore his files in it using an iPhone 4S backup data. After completion, Gordon was really surprised to find out that alongside his data, his iPod touch is also blessed with the Siri. Gordon also stated that the Siri he has magically transferred into his iPod touch is full of bugs and also crashes the device sometimes.

As you might think, yes, Siri in iPod touch was unable to contact the Apple servers and that’s why it was non-functional but the entire interface is present. Gordon also tried this experiment on his iPhone 4 and got the same results that only running feature was Siri’s flawless dictation support, and Siri was crashing the device. Take a look at the video posted by the user:

This Can Make Your Device  Useless

Well, it will really help the developers and modders to find out more about porting Siri to older devices, but an ordinary user should definitely not try this. As, according to iDownloadBlog, it is very risky to restore your device from another device’s back up data and there is a high possibility that your phone or iPod will be bricked which is usually a permanent damage.
