Apple is really thankful to the UK iPhone users because of such great demand of iPhone 4S there. Apple has been ranked number one in that area for the highest sale. It has crossed Android for the very first time after a year in all over UK. The share of Apple in the sales o f UK was 43% of that total sale in October.

In the October of every year the sales of Apple have been increased to 27.8% which is 2.8%. The figure shows the 46% slice of the total pie that was enjoyed by the Android handsets since the last quarter. The last year the reading was 49.9% while the share of BlackBerry in the UK market was 19.6%.

A research firm Kantar Worldpanel ComTech has said that the new iPhone 4S, released by Apple, has taken the market share away from that of Android. According to the stats we have come to know that 75% of the users were using the previous version of iPhone and had now been switched to the new one while 14% of them had been switched from the iPhone 4. After its launch the iPhone 4S was having a great demand in the market and many of the stores were almost sold out this past Friday.iPhone 4S has Taken Market Share From Android

Quarterly Results Still Favour Android

The question may arise that why this might be this one month aberration. This iPhone 4S has been released after 18 months the release of its predecessor, iPhone 4, which is 50% more time than it usually takes for the next iPhone to come. This may be the reason which make the people impatient of the iPhone release and resulted in such a great performance. But if we consider the quarterly results then Android still have a lead with quite a great margin.
