CES 2011 was held last week, but we did not find any major quad core smartphone being showcased by any manufacturer. On the other hand, many quad core tablets were introduced at that event. So, now as we know that MWC is scheduled to be held next month and it seems to be the perfect time for the top manufacturers to launch all of their high end devices, which will also included these quad core smartphones.

We have heard that HTC might release two new quad core smartphones at the event named as HTC Edge and HTC Endeavor but another report now states that LG is also going for a quad core smartphone device next month to compete with HTC and other manufacturers. It is going to be LG’s first quad core smartphone and it is named as LG X3. Here we have the first image of this magnificent phone created by the Korean Manufacturer which is highly expected to be displayed at MWC:

Specifications

All the reports show that LG X3 will definitely come with a quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor under the hood. While it will also bring a 4.7 inch display screen having 1280 x 720 pixels resolution which will definitely make this a wonderful and larger to life device. Additionally, the device will also be loaded with a 9mm casing, amazing isn’t it? As you can see in the image above, it really looks so great and we are really excited about this upcoming device.

Obviously, LG X3 will be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box, as the most upcoming high end smartphones will bring this OS build. LG X3 will have an 8 MP rear camera while a 1.3 MP front cam will also be available. The device will feature 16 GB internal storage, NFC and a hefty battery having 2000 mAh power which will be providing usage life of a day at least.
