Motorola Droid MAXX Will Hit The Shelves On January 26th

A few days ago we posted a hands on review on Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX in which we explained that the predecessor of the device, Motorola DROID RAZR which released only two months ago was a very thin device having high end features but it had a drawback, its 1780 mAh battery. The battery in DROID RAZR is non removable while it only provides battery life of 10 hours of usage which is pretty, just like other high end 4G LTE capable devices. Just a few weeks after the release of DROIR RAZR, Motorola has recently released DROIR RAZR MAXX at Verizon Wireless. When the device first appeared on carrier’s system, we did not know much about it and the rumors were suggesting that it was similar to DROID RAZR and has improved 13 MP camera and 720p HD Display.

Later as we reported that the device was announced at CES earlier this week, and the key feature in the new DROID RAZR MAXX is that it comes with a higher capacity battery than the original DROID RAZR and the new battery has 3300 mAh power. It has been stated that after a full charge, the battery is capable of providing 21 hours of usage which is definitely amazing. There is a bit flaw here as well, due to this higher capacity battery, the thickness of the device has been increased from 7.10mm to 8.99mm while the weight has also been increased from 127g to 145g.

At that time, Verizon announced that the DROID RAZR MAXX will cost $299.99 with a 2 year contract of course, but the carrier failed to mention the release date of the device. So, according a latest update from Motorola’s website, we have come to know that Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX will hit the shelves on January 26th.
