According to a latest report from Digitimes, we have found out that Apple’s very old manufacturing Partner, Pegatron Technology has received orders for the next generation iPhone as well as a 10 inch iPad.
Apparently, this new iPhone will be arriving around the month of September, while it seems like the 10 inch iPad model will be released in the fourth quarter this year. You have to keep in mind that Pegatron Technology is currently manufacturing both the iPhone 4S as well as the new iPad. And we have heard reports that the company has already expanded its equipment and workforce to prepare for this new big order from Apple.
The same report also adds that the 7 inch iPad launch is also imminent but that will be manufactured by Foxconn which is another important and major OEM for Apple. The Digitimes report stated that the 7 inch iPad will be releasing in August.
Now, if we sum all that up, it seems like Apple is going to release three new iPads in one year which really does not make any sense. We all know that the current, third gen iPad launch was pretty successful and Apple does not need to make amends to that. Now, a new 10 inch iPad seems pretty farfetched but the smaller iPad might be possible because we have heard many rumors previously. But still overall, we think that Apple is completely satisfied with the success of the new iPad and they might not need another one or two which will make things worse.
In addition to that, there is also very low chance that Apple would release an iPad and an iPhone in the same holiday season because then customers will have to choose one over the other instead of getting both devices.
So, the only report that seems a little legitimate is related to the iPhone release, as the iPhone 4S was released in October last year, the next iPhone will also arrive near the October of this year and it will include the most talked about 4G LTE feature as well as the new iOS 6 update.
