Nokia Stepping In The Cheap Smartphone Market By Introducing “LUMIA 610”

At this time, Microsoft’s Windows Phone is young and emerging platform but there are some features and factors where it is represented better than iOS but on the other hand, you cannot compare it with Android, because it is a total loss there. So, Nokia is planning to change that entire situation by introducing a new handset named as Nokia Lumia 610. With this new device, Nokia will open the doors of Windows Phone smartphones to the low end markets, and those consumers will also be able to get a taste of Windows Phone.

Nokia Introducing 3 Smartphones At MCW

As we all know that Nokia is rumored to be introducing three new Windows Phone at Mobile World Congress (MWC) event at the end of this month in Barcelona. One of these three handsets is going to be the European version of Lumia 900 while the other one the Lumia 610 we are talking about in this post. According to the latest rumors, Lumia 610 will be a low end device and Nokia will surely set aggressive prices for its device. It seems like this new handset will cost about 100 quid or almost $157 for the off contract version.

At this point, Nokia is already selling Nokia Lumia 710, which no doubt is a very cheap smartphone and it is available for $315 without contracts.

Very Affordable

So, it seems like this new Nokia Lumia 610 is going to be a very affordable Windows Phone smartphone, while the latest Tango update version of Windows Phone will accompany the device in this upcoming MWC event. Microsoft claims that Windows Phone Tango is designed to open all those introductory devices having low processor, cameras but still it will have some more possibility. Well, obviously this step will be able to maintain the core functionality of the platform which is a great thing. Just like other similar Android smartphones we are expecting Lumia 610 also to be priced accordingly.
