Pepper.pk, Mobile application subsidiary of a company of Pakistan Five River Technologies has said that they are going to make apps for the Indian Akash Tablet which is termed as the cheapest tablet in the market of this world having a price of about 60 dollars. This new Tablet was launched on October 5 2011. This newly released tablet was sponsored by the government of India and it is easily available in the market for such a low price and its mere purpose was to increase the literacy rate and enhance education in rural and urban areas of their country. Some of its specifications include a processor of 366MHz, touchscreen of about 7 inches, having a weight of 350 grams, capability of Wi-Fi for internet access along with two USB ports, flash memory of two GB, 2 USB ports, 2GB micro SD card and its memory can be expanded to 32 GB. This tablet is powered by the operating system of Android 2.2 Froyo.
