Pakistani Company, TenPearls, Gets Global Recognition By Making An Award Winning App

Another record is set by Pakistan’s IT industry at ‘Nokia & AT&T Innovators 2011 Contest’. A Pakistani firm named TenPearls got second position and prize money of $50,000.

“Animal 101” a mobile app made by TenPearls has got its second award in a year. They contested with 800 entrants to get the 2nd position worldwide.

TenPearls got an award of 1st position for an uTrack mobile app on the same platform.
This app is for children and parents both. Animal 101 is related to the animals. With the help of this app, children between 3 to 8 years old can have fun and also learn more and more about animals in the form of interesting games.Tenpearls Animal 101

It won the prize in the category of Trivia and Education at the competition organized by Nokia and AT&T.

All Innovators 2011 global competition made the app and games creators from all over the world to submit their apps in total of 17 categories. $10 million in the form of cash and prizes are spent in this contest.

TenPearls is also working on some new mobile apps with good features to release in collaboration with Nokia in Pakistan. Nokia is aiming to provide users with good and easy apps so that they could have a great experience and also personalized mobile communications.

As said by the president of TenPearls, Imran Aftab that they are working on many mobile apps which are to be released on Nokia’s mobile devices. In this way they can build a partnership and can be successful in the future business.

Expert judges declared the results in that contest for different categories. Judging was based on the app’s number of downloads and sales in the Ovi stores of Nokia.

This app also succeeds to be recognized internationally as said by Business Development Manager EDX, NOKIA Near East, Rabia Azfar. She also spokes that to get the Pakistan’s software industry on top; TenPearls made a start and will be our partner for a long time.

Top ten apps from each category were brought in front of a panel of judges and they made their final decision from them. Five apps were paid and five were non paid apps.

Judges kept in mind announcing the winners that the app should not only be popular but also provide the user with the best user experience of all.
