Picture Leaked Showing Windows 8 Apollo Being Tested on Nokia Lumia 900

Today, the guys at Phonearena.com have posted an image which seems like to be Windows Phone 8 Apollo running on Nokia Lumia 900. As you can see in the image, it is the developer build of Windows Phone 8 Apollo and it is running on the cyan colored Lumia 900 model. As you might already know that Microsoft is planning to release this new software update for its mobile operating system because this update will make Windows Phone platform to enter the era of multicore chip processors and HD screen. In addition to the integration to multicar chipsets and HD displays, Apollo update will be bringing many other improvements as well.

So, Microsoft has lot of hopes for this new Windows Phone build and it will definitely play a very vital role in maintaining its position as the third major rival platform after iOS and Android.

Just a little while ago we posted how the concept images of Windows Phone running handset with PureView camera were leaked and after that we also saw that there are a few references of Windows 8 found in Nokia poster templates. Now these references are also appearing various other apps. We have heard rumors that Windows Phone 8 Apollo will be showed off at Microsoft’s Windows Phone Developer Summit being held 20^th – 21^st of June.

In the end, we are highly expecting that Microsoft will be releasing Windows Phone 8 Apollo very close to the launch of the Windows 8 OS. And you might already know that Windows Phone 8 Apollo is built on the kernel of Win 8 as well. So, with both these OS updates, Microsoft is going ahead to take its whole new ecosystem to a completely new level. We all know that Nokia will be releasing new smartphones at the launch of Windows Phone 8 while the previous high end phones like Lumia 900 will also be receiving Apollo update which will greatly enhance its performance and offer much smoother user experience.
