Samsung’s Statement

The guys at Tech Radar were the one to break this great news in the form of a short post in which Samsung’s press statement was discussed briefly. So, let’s see what Korean manufacturer had to say about this one of the most anticipating smartphone of this year. Take a look at the statement from Samsung regarding the rumors related to launch of Galaxy S III:

“Samsung is looking forward to introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products at Mobile World Congress 2012.

The successor to the GALAXY S II smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product.

Samsung stays committed to providing the best possible mobile experiences for customers around the world.”

So, as we have been hearing a lot of rumors but on the contrary there is not going to be any announcement at MWC from Samsung regarding the third generation Galaxy S handset. On the other hand, Samsung has said that they will be launching other mobile products at the Mobile World Congress being held later this month in Barcelona but now one thing has been confirmed that it is not going to be the flagship high end smartphone we have all been anticipating about.

Tech Radar’s report stated that Samsung is holding the launch of the device because first they want to ensure that device’s commerical availability is closer and then unveil it for the public. Additionally, the launch is also delayed because Samsung might want to directly rival Apple’s iPhone 5 which might be launched in July this year.

The most expected specs for Galaxy S III include a quad core processor, a 720p Super AMOLED HD Display and HD-ready displays just like one in Galaxy Note or HTC Rezound. Last but not the least, Ice Cream Sandwich will be coming on this new smartphone right out of the box.
