Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 Specs Leaked Out

GSM Arena has reported that Samsung’s new mid ranged smartphone, Samsung Galaxy mini 2 S6500 which was codenamed as Jena has been leaked out. It is scheduled to be released at MWC (Mobile World Congress) at Barcelona by the end of this month but we have found some details about this device prior to its official announcement now. The device is expected to release somewhere in February, and later it was expected to be launched at the biggest phone centric show this year, MWC. Well, after seeing this device, we can say that Samsung Galaxy mini 2 is almost at the bottom of the low end Android smartphones list but it is still above the cheapest one, the Galaxy Y from Samsung.

Specifications

Obviously, it is a very low end smartphone, so we are not expecting any mouth watering or surprising list of hardware specs but still you will be surprise to see the set of specs it has with its price being so low. You can say that Samsung Galaxy mini 2 is going to be a pretty decently loaded with hardware for a smartphone at entry level. Following are the major specs for Galaxy mini 2:

– 3.3-inch display with an HVGA resolution (480×320),

– Android Gingerbread,

– 800MHz processor,

– HSDPA 7.2Mbps,

– 3-megapixel camera,

– 3GB of internal storage,

– Samsung’s free messaging service ChatON.

Galaxy Mini Specs Upgraded In Mini 2

As you can see it is a very decent upgrade to its predecessor, the Galaxy mini first generation smartphone which came with a smaller display screen of 3.14 inch and a lower resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and a slower processor of 600 MHz. Additionally Galaxy mini 2 also brings 3 GB internal memory, while its predecessor had 160 MB internal storage, last but not the least, Samsung has also loaded ChatON service in this device as well to save you your precious credit as well.

Nice Curved Body

When we look at the design of the device, it is also an improvement as Galaxy mini 2 has a nicely curved and slick body, it lacks the patterned back from the first Galaxy mini but still it is a great upgrade. Overall, we can say that it is going to be a great addition to Samsung’s lineup of low end smartphones and we are hoping to get more info on the actual release date and the price of the device.
