Samsung Galaxy Note; A Bit Difficult To Handle

Physical Overview

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note has been viewed and it has been seen that it is quite large and have a height of 15 cm while it is 8.3 in width which will obviously create some hindrance in holding it with a single hand. If your hands are much smaller or primary size then it will be difficult for you to handle by using a single hand and it may not be proved a permanent Smartphone for you. There is no doubt that when you take it closer to your ear to make a call then it would seem a bit awkward. It may be awkward for you but the thing you should notice is such a beautiful and splendid design on which Samsung has worked. It is 9.7mm thin while iPhone 4S of Apple was 9.3mm which was quite a close competition and Samsung`s galaxy S-II has a thinness of 8.5mm. As you are considering it extra large then you should also notice its slimness and light weight. There are very less number of hardware buttons. A power lock button is on the right while a volume rocker on its left side. It is somehow similar to that of Galaxy S-II or it can be said as the larger version of S-II. It is having a plastic cover on the battery which is flimsy to remove but the thing which made it easy to grip is its etched finish. The interesting thing about it is HD AMOLED display on its 5.3 inch screen, the resolution of the screen appears to be 1280×800 which makes it WXGA having 285 pixels per inch known as ppi. This is less than that of Apple`s next aim which is retina display for which ppi of 326 is required. This new HD display of Samsung is better than all of its previous Android based phones and even better than Samsung Galaxy S-II. Such a big size helps us to have clear view to read whatever we want to. The colors are vibrant while text seems to be crisp and its visibility under the sunlight is extremely good.

Stylus or S-Pen

The co-founder of Apple Steve Jobs may also was thinking about Stylus as he died and some stuff like it has been added to Samsung`s new phone and according to Samsung it is called as “S-Pen”. It is as because Samsung either does not like this name Stylus. It has been added at the right end and allows to the user to have notes from it and to draw whatever they want on the screen. It is a bit difficult to remove S-Pen from the phone as it requires having a sharp finger nail tip along with it, it is also very small to hold so that we can not hold it comfortably as pen. But it was said before that it is easy to hold and comfortable to use which appears quite opposite to their expectations. There is also a delay on the screen when we write on it and it becomes noticeable when you move pen faster on the screen. There is also a word recognition which means that when you write it will type it so you have to write it as much accurate as you can.
