Samsung Galaxy S III Expected To Be Released In April This Year

A Russian tech blogger named as Eldar Murtazin, who is quite famous for his hit or miss track record, has stated that according to his inside sources, Samsung is preparing to release Galaxy S III smartphone in April. Murtazin also stated that Samsung will be announcing the product in the end of February, possibly at MWC which is going to be held in Barcelona. The tweets from blogger also hint that he has already got his hands on this new device, he tweeted that:

“HD resolution, 12 mpx camera, sw tweaks, android 4 – i like my new phone. Eager to see official announcement in Barcelona,”

Now, it seems like this tweet and a number of related tweets are basically centered on either one of Galaxy S III or the Nokia Lumia 900.

samsung smartphones

Well, if it all comes true, it will not surprise us because last year Samsung followed the same schedule when releasing the Galaxy S II last year. Similarly, Samsung Galaxy S II was announced at MWC and later it was introduced in Europe in the end of April. Furthermore, it is also very likely and logical that Samsung would add an HD screen in this new device, while the addition of Android Ice Cream Sandwich is also obvious, of course with some software tweaks like TouchWiz and read. Last but not the least, the blogger also mentioned 12MP camera, well, it also doesn’t surprise us, because these are the specs we were expecting already in the next Galaxy S smartphone.

Addition Of Quad Core Processor

Furthermore, the blogger also added that Samsung Galaxy S III will be powered by a 1.5 GHz-1.6 GHz quad core processor under the hood. Now the addition of a quad core processor was not obvious. Murtazin also said that the overall experience of the device is that it is definitely fast. Additionally, he said that all those power required a decent battery life and Samsung has also done a great job tweaking that too.

Just like his previous reports, Murtazin did not mention any of his secret sources, so it seems like maybe all of this is only a guess work. So, we can only wait for the MWC then, to see how much this report is true or not.
