As you know Samsung recently released its latest flagship device Galaxy Note, which is a combo between tablet and phone. It is getting so much popular among the masses but there are people who did not want to spend their hard earned money on this larger than life smartphone, and are definitely waiting for the device which will precede the Samsung Galaxy S II. Previously, we were delighted to hear that Samsung Galaxy S III was to be announced by the end of this month, but later Samsung made changes to the plan and decided to release it later in this year.

Reason Still Unknown

We don’t know why the Korean tech giant delayed the launch but there is a rumor that Samsung did not like the large gap between North American and European launch dates and that’s why they had to delay Galaxy S III launch. So, it means that we should expect that Samsung will be rolling out its new flagship smartphone on a global scale after the highly anticipated launch event.

Well, the date is not confirmed yet, but we have a scoop about that too. According to South African network providers, Cell C and Virgin Mobile, their consumers will be getting their hands on the Galaxy S III in July this year. Both networks have officially announced that Galaxy S III will be available on their retail stores throughout the country by that date.

There are not much details provided by the carriers, but we have heard that the device might be coming with a super high definition screen and a quad core processor as well. We might not have the pricing details of the device as well, because last year when Galaxy S II was released, its price tag was not revealed until its launch event.

Another South African Mobile Carrier, MTN has also confirmed the release of Galaxy S III and they will be adding this device in their lineup. So, MWC is coming in a few days and we will have news for you about the products Samsung is about to offer there, so stay tuned.
