Samsung Ready To Attack Apple’s Upcoming Device, iPhone 5

You might have heard about the ongoing legal battle between the two tech giants, Samsung and Apple. Apple and Samsung are fighting this battle in the courts of many countries around the globe including US, Europe, Australia and some Asian countries. Apple succeeded to ban Samsung’s new products from the markets before the launch or sometimes even right after their releases. But today, we have a report that states that Samsung is planning to target Apple’s next major release iPhone 5 by filing patent lawsuits. So, the battle continues.

“Just after the arrival of the iPhone 5 here, Samsung plans to take Apple to court here for its violation of Samsung’s wireless technology related patents,” said a senior executive from Samsung Electronics, asking not to be identified. For as long as Apple does not drop mobile telecommunications functions, it would be impossible for it to sell it’s i-branded products without using our patents. We will stick to a strong stance against Apple during the lingering legal fights.”

As I mentioned above, the main reason of Samsung’s aggression are definitely the bans on its products in Galaxy Tab lineups in the European markets. These particular devices were banned from market due to court injunctions which were due to the patent infringements filed by Apple.

For now, there is no way that Samsung can make any move right now, because it is too early. As Apple has not even revealed any feature of the upcoming next generation iPhone. So, Samsung will definitely need a product description to file a patent infringement against it. But it is now certain that Samsung is preparing for the possible patent infringement against the iPhone 5, because they are thinking that iPhone 5 will have the wireless technology which is their property basically. So, once the iPhone 5 is released, Samsung will be ready to attack.

KT Telecom and SK Telecom will be the ones who will be affected by the Apple and Samsung in Korea, because these two companies have the distribution of Apple’s iPhone in Korea. So, it seems like these companies will also be dragged in this giant’s battle.
