At this time, Siri is one of the most innovative services provided in mobile devices. And it seems like Apple is not done with it and wants to add some more features to this voice activated personal assistant. According to a latest report, we have found out that Apple wants to introduce a new feature to Siri which will let users to order products online using Siri. Last year, a patent was granted to Apple which was called “Intelligent Automated Assistant” and it was designed for Siri and the documents of the patents show that how this app will work. So, the main idea of this patent is that users will be able to buy books, DVDs, music and other items, all by the help of voice assistant.

Another rumor suggests that the new feature in the Siri will also be able to find the items offered by the Store at the lowest retail price or shipping price. As we already know that usually most of the Apple products are related with almost every market, so there is a possibility that Siri will be able to let users shop at Best Buy or Amazon. It also means that Apple might be able to get extra revenue by collecting toll from each purchase made when users use Siri for shopping. There is another possibility that Apple might suggest of its own products as the substitute to the user requested item. For example, if you ask Siri to let you buy the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Siri will reply by saying Don’t you mean you want to buy an Apple iPhone? Take a look at the following concept screenshot:

At this moment, if you ask Siri to purchase any item online, Siri replies by saying, “Sorry, I can’t purchase that.” As Siri is powered by Wolfram Alpha, the current iPhone 4S users can ask Siri that whether a certain item is in stock at Best Buy or not, but still they cannot make an actual purchase using Siri. Well, we have no proof that the above mentioned features will someday be released or not. But we can say that Siri is currently in a beta version, and Apple will bring some improvements to this service in the near future, so we keep our fingers closed and hope for the best.
