Wearable & Curved Glass devices Will Come In Future From Apple

Apple is very popular around the world due to its very innovative products. The company is enjoying a huge success over the last decade when they first launched their iPod range. Now, after ten whole years and 300 million iPod sales, it is speculated that Apple will continue to innovate and even take it to the next level as well. We are talking about a new rumor which states that the future iPod device will be wearable and will have Siri to accept user input through voice commands.

New York Times stated in their latest blog post that an inside source from Apple who has the knowledge of company’s future product plans is claiming that a group of people is currently working on these conceptual ideas and prototypes to create a wearable device.

One of the discussed device is the iPod, which will be wearable and is expected to be created with curved glass and users will wear it on the wrists. The same iPod will have Apple’s new voice recognition, Siri feature which will make it able to accept the voice commands.

Some Technical Issues Must Be Resolved First

Previously, Apple tried to remove buttons from iPod shuffle and use voice commands to control the device but the prototype did not do well in the tests and Apple brought the physical buttons back in the next generations of iPod Shuffle. Surely, if Apple is thinking to develop a wearable Siri featuring device, then it will have to solve some of the prominent technical issues. First of all, Siri should be intelligent enough to accept commands without using the network connection, or the device might have cellular network capability or even Wi-Fi service.

As we all know that current iPod range only has iPod touch which comes with Wi-Fi capabilities. So, it means that Apple might be thinking of finding out a way to run Siri without help of any network connection.

Well, the rumor we are talking about is not easy to become reality. Well, at least not anytime soon, but still it is very promising initiative from the company to keep the innovative strategy of Steve Jobs alive.
