We know that both Apple and Google are working very hard to make their respective software close to perfect but neither of them can be matched to the Microsoft, which has been working tirelessly to improve and enhance its software roster and they have been announcing new features and enhancements on daily basis as well. Well, today, Microsoft has listed some details related to the upcoming Windows Phone Tango update at their mobile updates history website.
Windows Phone Tango is listed as the build number 8773.98. Well, this particular build of Windows Phone is already released in the Nokia Lumia 900 units being sold throughout Europe. This update will be bringing updates to messaging, SIM card contacts and a few other new tweaks.
If you are one of those people who are waiting anxiously for this update, I am afraid that Microsoft failed to mention any release date or even a specific ETA. On the other hand, the only thing that was said by Microsoft was that they will start the process of working with mobile operators to roll out an update for existing customers. In my opinion, once Microsoft releases the Windows Phone Tango loaded devices in the market, the update will soon follow for the current users.
Now, I know that this update is not a major one and it will be bringing some minor enhancements and improvements to the Windows Phone eco system but still you have to keep in mind that Windows Phone is really making its way to the top. And we are also expecting that after the release of Windows Phone 8, WP platform will definitely join the big race with iOS and Android.
When we talk about the future of Nokia, it seems like Lumia devices are their final hope and Microsoft Windows Phone is really creating fans for Nokia’s new handsets. Even Apple’s co founder Steve Wozniak appreciated this smartphone and Windows Phone is getting so popular in China which is the world’s largest market. Many analysts are suggesting around a year later, we will be looking at Windows Phone one of the top mobile operating systems in the world along with the iOS and Android.
