Zong, Warid and Ufone Introduce Ramadan Sms Alerts 2011

The sms alert service has much taken the shape of a tradition in every Ramadan. By keeping up this tradition the cellular companies in Pakistan have offered the sms alerts service. These alerts include sehr and aftar alerts. You can receive messages in your inbox about the sehr and aftar timings. Till now warid, zong and ufone have announced their sms alert packages. Other companies are most likely going through the final phases of  planning to announcing a similar packages for their customers very soon, so stay tuned.

Warid Ramadan Alerts

Warid has recently introduced the daily sms Ramadan alerts. This service allows you to receive sms timing if sehar and aftar. It also informs about the namaz timings. Besides this you can also receive daily ahadith, aayats, Islamic ringtones, wallpapers and videos.

Warid is offering two packages.

Package no 1

This package includes the following features.

  • Sehar alert
  • Aftar alert
  • All the namaz timings along with qaza namaz timings.

Note

All the above timings and alerts are for both Hanfi and jaafri.

How to subscribe this package?

To subscribe this package type “RA” in the text message mode and send it to 2602.

How much will it cost?

The subscription charges of this package are Rs 15+tax.

Package no 2

This package is a bit bigger than the first one. Apart from the sehar and aftar timings it includes a lot of more things like duas, ahadith, aayats and also the taaq raat sms alerts. This package also includes the MMS features. As the features are more in this package so its charges are also higher than the first package.

  • Sehar sms alert
  • Aftar sms alert
  • All the namaz timings
  • Daily hadith
  • Daily ayat
  • Taaq raat alert
  • Importance of the day in the Islamic history
  • Daily MMS which can include wallpaper, video or an animation

By using zong you can receive alerts you can enjoy the holy month of Ramadan by hearing naats, Quran, Duas, Islamic lectures and much more. By just activating, customers can avail any of the following offers of their choice.

  • Daily Hadith
  • Daily ayat
  • Duas
  • All the Namaz timings daily
  • Sehar and Aftar timings

The above features will entertain you through sms. But following is the IVR content.

How can this offer be subscribed?

The above offers can be availed by dialing 567.

How much will this cost?

If you want the IVR features then you will be charged Rs 50 paisa/minute + tax.

If you want to subscribe the sms features then you will be charged Rs 1/day  + tax.

You can also un subscribe this offer. To do this, dial 567 and then press 8.

Ufone Ramadan Alerts

Ufone has not offered any Ramadan alerts independently but it has bundeled the “sim lagao offer” and Ramadan alerts.

This offer is for those customers who have not used their ufone sim since 1st July 2011. If you are eligible for this offer then turn on your sim now and get a gift of 100 minutes, 25 MB of mobile internet a pack of 1000 sms.

Note

  • Free 100 minutes can only be used on Ufone to Ufone calls.
  • But 1000 sms are open to be used on any network in Pakistan.

Moreover, the important thing is that by activating your sim you will also get sehar and aftar alerts free for 1 week. And till 25th of august 2011 the users will get equal minutes and twice the number of sms used every week.
