Motorola Droid Bionic’s Price & Popularity Decreases

Droid Bionic, the flagship device from Motorola was in the spotlight after its release but unfortunately, the device could not stay on the top in the smartphone market for a long time. Motorola Droid Bionic came with a $299 price tag with 2 year contract at its release but now you can get your hands on this high end smartphone for as low as $120 plus a signed contract. Although, it is very surprising to see that a device that good, having dual core processor and is LTE enabled can be found in such low price.

Reason Behind The Price Decrease

The reason behind this price decrease is that Droid Razr is about to be released on November 11th and it seems like Razr is getting all the spotlight as it’s the next Motorola flagship smartphone.

Initially The Response Was Good

The Motorola’s Droid Bionic was first seen last January at CES but Motorola changed the original design and a new and improved version of the device was released in early September. Keeping in mind that this device is Motorola’s first dual core model having LTE 4G connectivity. Initially the device got positive reviews but later some of the users filed complaints against the device. It is just two months that Bionic was released and now Verizon is about to release its successor, the Droid Razr which will be coming with a Super AMOLED display screen. On the other hand, Droid Bionic came with the PenTile technology based display which was heavily criticized by many users and reviewers.

Motorola’s Droid Bionic is loaded with a 4.3 inch qHD screen and comes with a dual core 1 GHz processor under the hood alongside the 1GB RAM. Droid Bionic’s internal storage memory is 16 GB and can be expanded to 48 GB by using a microSD card. Other features mainly include an 8MP camera which has the ability of recording 1080p HD videos and there is a front camera also included in it. Droid Bionic was released with Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 pre installed. Now you can buy this high end device for just $120 at Amazon.
