Release Date of iPad Mini & iPad 4 Announced By Apple

Yesterday, Apple had a media event in which the company launched its latest iteration of iPad. Yes, the highly speculated iPad Mini or the smaller iPad has been launched by Apple now. That’s not it, Apple has also released a new next generation iPad, the iPad 4.

iPad Mini

This new iPad Mini is the smaller version of the original iPad that had a 9.7 inch screen while this new iPad Mini has a 7.9 inch screen which is measured diagonally. This smaller iPad features the same screen resolution as the iPad 2 which is 1024 x 768 pixels.

The iPad Mini is capable of competing with all other 7 incher tablets available in the markets right now. It does not feature very high end internals, as it will be targeting the lower end markets especially. That is the reason why Apple has added the same dual core A5 processor that was included in Apple iPad 2. It also features both front and back camera lenses and it features 10 hours of battery life.

The new iPad Mini is 7.2mm thick and weighs only 0.68 pounds which means that it will weigh almost half than the iPad 2 that weighs around 1.33 pounds. Just like the latest iPhone 5, the new iPad Mini also features the new shorter, Lightning connector. iPad will be available in both WiFi only and Cellular models.

iPad 4

iPad 4 is an improvement to the new iPad released earlier this year, as it features even sharper Retina display that offers a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixel. Inside the tablet, you will find a dual core A6X processor made by Apple along with the quad core graphics chip. Apple is also claiming that the iPad 4 will be featuring double the processing power of the iPad 3. It also comes with a better rear camera and a front camera. Last but not the least, the new iPad also comes with the same new Lightning connector.

Release

Apple has decided to release both the iPad Mini and iPad 4 on Friday, 2 November. Currently, you can order any of the model you want to and you will be receiving it on the release date. Initially, both of these devices will be releasing in the U.S., Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the U.K. We don’t know when Apple will release this new device in Pakistan, but these are expected to arrive by the end of November or the starting of December.
