Ufone Starts Its Own Social Networking Website

Ufone which is one of the top cellular subscribers in Pakistan has taken a very different step by starting a social networking website. This social website has been named “CLUBUfone”. The link is “www.clubufone.com”.

We all know about the social networking fever among Pakistani youth these days. Facebook has become a second world for the people. A couple of years ago when the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority decided to ban facebook then I heard many people saying that how will they live without facebook. From this you can estimate that how much addicted people are to facebook and other social networking websites like twitter and Google Plus. So Ufone is also expecting some crowd on its social networking website.

Anyone Can Sign up

ClubUfone was initially only available for ufone subscribers but now the company has revised its policy a bit. Now anyone who owns a cell phone can sign up to ClubUfone. This means that people who are not Ufone subscribers are also invited to join this newly born social networking website.

ClubUfone is much like facebook and has almost all the same features. You can add photos, videos, give status etc. moreover the video calling feature which is not so old at facebook, is also available on ClubUfone. Groups and fan pages can also be created (just like facebook).

This social networking website has specially been developed for Pakistanis. As Urdu is the basic country language so there is an option available through which you can view and use the urdu version of the website. Moreover for easy use an additional feature is also added by which you can handle your social networking life through sms. Photos and videos can obviously not be uploaded via sms but you can perform basic tasks like setting status or sending message.

You can subscribe by sending “sub” to 7171. The users who have already subscribed can update their status by sending “st(space)your message” and send it to 7171.
