Convert The Signal Bar Into Actual Numbers On Your iPhone 4

Have you ever noticed the signals of your iPhone? It is quite obvious that you sometimes look at the signal bar present there on the top of the screen. Here is a new way with the help of which you can now convert the signals into actual numbers. These digits are in the form of decimals and are closer to zero.

It would be in the form of handy if you are in dead zone. This will help you to track the suitable area where you can easily make an important call. And you know that in order to make a call we hold our phones up in the air to have a single signal like a Statue of Liberty. As going forward let me tell you about the process that will allow you to access the feature. I have performed these steps in my iPhone 4. The settings are a bit complex so you should do it with some care. You will not have to jailbreak the device and the process is simple but care is what it really requires.

I am not sure that it will work on other models of iPhone or not and also not sure about its working in other countries. If you want to have it then you must check it out by yourself.

Procedure

The steps are as follows:

Step 1:

Dial *3001#12345#* then press Call.

Step 2:

Now you will be entered in the Field Test mode. There will appear a signal strength indicator which you can easily see on the left top corner of the screen. Now if you want to toggle from signal strength bar to strength in numeric from then you can also do it just by a single click and another click will take you to the original signal bar. This process is reversible so you should not hesitate while doing the process.

Step 3:

Hold down on the Power button until you see the ‘slide to power off’ bar.  Do not power off the device.

Step 4:

Press the Home button and wait for the app to close and it will take you back to the home screen.

You are done now and can have the feature. Now restart the smartphone and you will get what you want to have.  If your number is close to zero then it will indicate that you signal strength is good.

How To Restore The Old Signal Bar?

If the new way of this representation don`t appear good to you then you can have it back by following the mentioned steps:

Step 1: Dial *3001#12345#* on your iPhone then press Call.

Step 2: Just press the Home button once.

This second step will close the Field Test mode and you will not see it again till you repeat the above mentioned process.
