Facebook Music Service Coming Soon

Facebook was going to release its new Music service at the annual event named as F8. We knew about the release of the service but what we did not know was that how this feature will work. It has been reported that Facebook has been tweaking many of its features until its official launch.

Tonight, an interesting thing happened, a Facebook employee accidently revealed one the key features of the Music service in a Tweet. His name is Ji Lee and he works as a creative director in Facebook and he joined the company in April after leaving Google. Following is the screen shot of the message tweeted by Ji Lee.

It looks like Lee accidently tweeted this because he deleted the tweet within minutes but Mitchell Holder took the screen shot instantly. So, it looks like this will be a key feature of the Music service which will be launched by Facebook in F8. Now we are assuming that all the music launched by your friends will appear in the just launch ticker on the right side of your Facebook page and you will also be able to “Listen with your friend”, so you can listen along the same song at the same time with your friends.

It doesn’t end here, because we know that Ji Lee is definitely testing this feature on his Facebook account and he was not supposed to reveal it yet. Lee also revealed some of the details in his Facebook status message earlier today which said:

Ji Lee is listening to Black & Blue by Mike Snow and feeling happy it’s another beautiful sunny day in California.

So, it cannot be a coincidence and it definitely proves that this feature will be coming in the upcoming Music service by Facebook. All we have to do is just wait for the F8 conference to be held.
