Fingerprint Scanner To Be Included In iPhone 5s
Well, we have been hearing various speculations and rumors about the next gen iPhone or the iPhone 5S. Now, not long ago Apple acquired AuthenTec and according to an analyst at KGI Securities, this acquisition will have a great effect on iPhone 5S. Basically, with the help of AuthenTec, it seems like Apple is looking to implement some sort of fingerprint recognition feature on the home button of the seventh gen iPhone.
The current iPhone has the dual core A6 processor and its successor is definitely expected to bring a faster processor that will be able to improve the performance to a further level. Now, in our opinion, these are the usual upgrades and Apple will need something significant which can be used as a gimmick to promote the next iPhone. As we all know that Apple promoted iPhone 4S with the introduction to Siri, as it was the main reason why people upgraded to it. Of course with the help of this fingerprint scanner on the home button, iPhone will get more secure and private which is good. The analyst has also suggested that in addition to these features, Apple might not change the current minimalistic design of the device.
Fingerprint security system for apps
The analyst also suggests that the fingerprint scanner will be located somewhere below the home button of the next iPhone and he also thinks that various native apps in iOS like Passbook and others will be integrated with this feature. In our opinion, it is not that likely that such fingerprint scanner will appear in the next iPhone but still, this analyst has a better track record than the others and of course we will keep in touch with the rumors in the near future confirming this feature in the next iPhone.
No change in design expected
As I mentioned above, the analyst don’t think that Apple will change the design of the iPhone 5, and the same shape and design will be used in the next iPhone. We all know that iPhone 4S was no change in design but it sell pretty well and the entire world including us is definitely looking forward to the next iPhone.
