iOS 6 Coming With 200 New Features

Today at WWDC, Apple has announced the latest iOS 6 which will be releasing this fall. Most of the recent iOS devices will be able to run iOS 6 except the original iPad. Apple has announced that iOS 6 will be coming with 200 new features.

Following are the major new features and enhancements that will be included in the final version of iOS 6:

Siri Enhancements in iOS 6:

Apple has updated Siri with several new functions like now you will be able to get the latest sports news and information by asking Siri. In addition to that, iOS 6 will also provide movies information to the Siri as well. You will be able to ask Siri about the latest movies being played at the theater. Siri will also tell you the ratings and reviews and even information about actors and directors. You can ask Siri to watch trailer of any latest movie.

Siri will also be able to provide information for the restaurants near you. And you will also be able to reserve table at your favorite restaurant with Siri, which will consult with OpenTable system. You will also be able to ask Siri to launch any app you want to.

Facebook integration:

Just like Twitter was deeply integrated in iOS 5, iOS 6 brings the Facebook integration for you. Now, you will be able to share images and map locations right from apps to your Facebook timeline. Facebook is also integrated with the Notification Center, and there you can also update your status.

Apple Maps App:

iOS 6 will also introduce Apple’s own Maps app instead of the Google Maps service. This new app will feature around 100 million business listing all around the world. Siri is also integrated with the Maps app and you will be able to ask for directions with your voice. Apple is also using 3D mapping technology which will give some amazing views of the major cities all around the world. Maps from Apple will also feature turn by turn navigation.

There are a lot of other features introduced in iOS 6 like replying to a call with a text message, Do Not disturb feature, FaceTime support over cellular networks, etc.
