The recent biggest success of Nokia is N8 which has done an excellent business in the market. It looks to be great competitor in the world smart phone market. Public has also given a great response. On the other side as we all know that that the popularity of Apple iPhones can never be on the decreasing side. So in this article we will closely compare the specifications of N8 and iPhone4.

Display

The resolution of N8 is 360×640 pixels with a display size of 3.5 inches. In this phone there is a useful option of connecting your phone to Tv for watching videos.

No doubt that N8’s display is good but it is certainly not impressive as the display of iPhone 4. Because iPhone 4 has a resolution of 640×690 with the same display size as that of N8.

So in the display sector iPhone has an upper hand on N8.

Camera

Normally nokia mobiles have a decent camera of near 5 pixels but this one has a far better camera of 12.0 mega pixels which has the ability to capture some serious impressive snaps. Xenon flash also accompanies the 12.0 mega pixels camera. The iPhone4 has also a good camera of 5.0 mega pixels. But iPhone4 is no match for N8 is terms of camera.

So in the camera sector N8 has a visible edge over iPhone4.

Operating System

Operating system is very important for any phone. It is the base of all the applications and processes of the phone. All the nokia mobiles are powered by symbian operating system including N8. Frankly speaking symbian is not an impressive software and if we compare it with the iOS4, which is a very powerful operating system, then symbian is simply no match for it. Symbian does not support the latest features like multitasking.

So Apple iPhone4 is better than N8 if we look at the operating systems  and compare iOS with Symbian.

Applications

Nokia has made an Ovi store which has thousands of applications for nokia mobiles. But if nokia really wants to compete with apple then it will have to raise the standard of their applications. Apple’s applications are based on latest technology which nokia mobiles can’t even support. To compete with App Store nokia will have to make an operating system which can support the latest applications.

Both in number of applications and standard of applications Ovi store is far behind than App store.

Apple iPhone4 is better than Nokia N8 is almost every field. But nokia lovers don’t be disappointed because N8 has things better than all other handsets that’s why we are comparing it with the smart phone giant and this is the clue that in future more better smart phones will come from nokia’s side.
