Antonio De Rosa’s Concept iPhone Design Resembles To That of Android Devices

The latest version of iPhone is iPhone 4S which came out around five months ago, but now it seems like the talk of its successor has been started. Last week Apple launched the latest iPad model and now it is obvious that the next major release from Apple is going to be a new iPhone.

Of course we don’t know how it will look like before the actual announcement, so we will have to rely on the talents of designers and concept makers like Antonio De Rosa. Antonio De Rosa usually brings new concepts for us related to the new Apple products.

This time, De Rosa has brought his recent creation, the next iPhone. It is based on rumored features of course and we don’t know much about this unannounced device yet. All we can say right now is that, as the new iPad had the 4G capability, it has become obvious that the next iPhone will also be 4G compliant. We cannot say what exactly Apple is going to do with the designs, but this particular design from De Rosa is looking much like an Android device. Take a look by yourself:

As you can see, this device does not use the traditional SIM card from the mobile carriers, so it will be able to download and store all the info from the mobile network. Of course the concept new iPhone is 4G LTE compatible, based on the feature’s addition in the new iPad.

Additionally, it has a completely new design, as all the volume and silent controls are located at the top of the device and both edges are now thinner than ever before. You can also see that the sides are thinner but the depth is quite thicker in middle mainly to accommodate the hardware.

Interestingly, the device shown here has three separate screens on the front. There is a main screen in middle, while two narrow strips are located at the bottom and the top. The top one shows notifications, network info and date/time, while the strip in bottom is like a desktop. You can also see the Home button is now a gesture based button. Additionally, you will also notice LED powered edges which might be used to indicate battery life or indicate incoming caller with the help of a dedicated app that will allow it to change colors accordingly. Overall it is a very cool concept and we will appreciate if Apple take some of the features from this concept.
