Samsung Galaxy S III Might Come With Wireless Charging Ability

There is no doubt that Samsung Galaxy S III will be the most anticipated Android smartphone of 2012. Of course its predecessors, Samsung S and S II brought back to back successes and broke many records and now there are very high expectations from the third generation Galaxy S smartphone from Samsung. Just like every before major product announcement, we see a lot of rumors and speculations regarding that product and this time nothing is different.

Now, we have received a new report which states that Samsung might be thinking of introducing latest wireless charging technology in Galaxy S III.

The news was published by a Korean daily named as DDaily and they report was provided by some anonymous industry sources who have claimed that Galaxy S III’s one of the biggest feature will be wireless charging technology.

According to The Verge:

Now that phones and tablets are practically as thin as their ports will allow, wireless charging may be the next step forward, and Korean publication DDaily is reporting that Samsung’s rumored Galaxy S III superphone will lead the way with a built-in inductive charger.

Based On Magnetic Induction

This wireless charging technology will be based on the principles of magnetic induction. It means that an induction coil will be used to create alternating electromagnetic field in the charge base station and a second induction coil will be placed in the mobile device. This system will then produce electromotive force in the secondary induction coil from the alternating current in primary and that will charge the device. Its all written in secondary level Science/Physics and most of you might be aware of it. And if you did not understand a little bit of what I just said, then I have got two words for you; wireless charging.

Other Specs

Now, wireless charging has been added to the rumored specification list of the Galaxy S III, it already includes a quad core Exynos chip, 2GB RAM, 4.8 inch Full HD 1080p Super AMOLED HD display, Liquipel waterproofing technology and an 8MP rear/2MP front camera. Additionally, it will be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and it will also feature Samsung’s custom TouchWiz UX.
