COMSATS Celebrated 15th Birthday!
Comsats is one of the oldest ISPs in Pakistan. It has been 15 years since the COMSATS Internet Services (CIS) is providing the internet services in Pakistan and they are now celebrating their 15th anniversary.
This anniversary was celebrated in an event held at an Islamabad Hotel. Dr. Imtinan Elahi Qureshi who is the Executive Director, COMSATS along with other guests including Dr. Junaid Zaidi rector of the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Mr. Parvez Ahmed Butt, Advisor of the COMSATS and Manager of Marketing, Mr. Nayab Gul was also there.
Comsats 15th Birthday
CEO, Mr. Asim Shahryar Husain gave a short but authentic presentation at the event. He told about the milestones achieved by CIS in 2010-11. Data and training center were upgraded; new offices were made in cities like Karachi, Peshawar, and Lahore. Seven product brands were also released.
In addition to this he told about the wireless broadband packages which are being given to the SMEs and corporate customers. Also there are courses for the training related to PMP®, ITIL®, Cisco®, Microsoft® and many other reputed international and national organizations.
There was also some talk about how the approval was confirmed by that time’s Prime Minister, Ms. Benazir Bhutto and 1996’s launch of internet in Pakistan by CIS. In the end an address was given by Executive Director COMSATS. Dr. Qureshi. He talked about the success of CIS for 15 years which includes no private investment.
