Huawei Surpasses Galaxy Note II By Launching “Ascend Mate” with 6.1 Inches Display

We all know that CES Event of this year is currently being held in Las Vegas and all the major manufacturers from different parts of world are there to showcase their  latest flagship devices. Huawei is becoming popular in the emerging markets and it is bringing its product to the rest of world as well. So, yesterday the Chinese manufacturer brought a brand new smartphone named as Huawei Ascend Mate and the key feature of this device will be its gigantic 6.1 inch display screen.

Display Screen even larger than Galaxy Note II

We all know how much people appreciate big screen phones, all the new Android devices are featuring larger screens and even Apple had to increase the screen size of its iPhone last year. But still, this 6.1 inch screen handset will even surpass the Galaxy Note II from Samsung. Samsung really took risk by launching its Note devices but they were appreciated by the users all around the world and now this new gigantic phone – tablet device from Huawei is also looking pretty good to us.

Specifications

When we talk about the specs of Huawei Ascend Mate, in addition to the 6.1 inch screen it features 720p HD resolution with 241 ppi screen density. It will be running on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean along with Huawei’s Emotion UI. On the inside, the handset will be featuring a quad core processor clocked in at 1.5GHz along with Huawei K3V2 chipset as well as 2GB of RAM.

Another great feature of this device will be its ability to expand the storage memory via microSD card. It also features an 8MP camera with LED flash on the back which is capable of recording full HD 1080 video. In addition to that, a 1MP HD camera is present on the front. Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, Hotspot, microUSB and GPS are also added in the features list. Last but not the least, Huawei Ascend Mate will be coming with a large 4050 mAh battery which will allow users to get a long and smooth experience of the device.

Price not known yet

Currently, we have no idea about the price of the device but it is expected to hit the shelves in Q1 of 2013.
