iPhone 4S & Galaxy Nexus Detailed Comparison

Body & Construction
The iPhone 4S is considered to be the best in appearance and construction if compared with its predecessors and along with it you can also see that it is made up of premium materials i.e. glass and steel. On the other hand the Galaxy Nexus is made up of plastic. A characteristic bump can be seen on the bottom at its back but it appears to be quite light when compared with its size.
Size
If you don`t like a large phone then iPhone 4S will be better for you because of its compact body. But another thing that you should notice is that it`s giant screen has the super AMOLED display which dwarfs that of iPhone`s.
iOS 5 or Ice Cream Sandwich?
In case of interface they are completely different from one another. Till now Android has not been successful in making a well made interface but in case of ICS the platform appears to be quite good as compared to that of iOS 5. Android allows the person to make widgets on its home screen while iOS users will have to search for the app they wanted to access. In performance both these smartphones are really very fast but iPhone 4S seems to be a bit forward in the race.

If you type the message with a single hand then both of these smartphones appear to be same in case of messaging but those who type message with both of their hands will be attracted towards Galaxy Nexus because you can type quite easily in its Landscape mode.
Browser
The safari browser is working exceptionally well in iPhone 4S. The browser in Galaxy Nexus is also great but not as smooth as that of iPhone 4S. There is a bad news that none of these are supporting flash up till now. While comparing data connectivity, the international variant of Galaxy Nexus appears to be an HSPA+ phone which goes 21.1Mbit/s on download link and 14.4Mbit/s on uplink while in case of iPhone the download link is 14.4Mbit/s which is a bit slower.
Camera Comparison
The images that can easily be obtained from the 8MP camera of iPhone have more details and exposure while the 5 MP snapper of Galaxy Nexus overexpose sometimes. Both of these smartphones are able to capture good pictures outdoor. The LED of iPhone is much better than that of Galaxy Nexus.
The performance of loudspeaker in iPhone is better while Galaxy Nexus is a bit weak in this case. Both of these are having same battery timing in stand-by mode.
