Phil Schiller Gets the Honour!
We were expecting that iPhone 4S will be announced by CEO Tim Cook himself, but he let Phil Schiller announce the next generation iPhone. The iPhone 4S is compatible with both GSM and CDMA networks and comes with a new super fast A5 chip, redesigned 8 MP camera system and also supports dual core graphics which have the ability to work 7 times faster than the previous iPhone.

Just like we predicted previously, iPhone 4S will be available in three different variants, 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB and their respective cost will be $199, $299 and $399. It was also announced that Apple will start taking pre orders for the device on 7th October and will roll out the devices on 14th October in US, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany and Japan. Twenty two other countries will also get the device by 28th October and by the end of the year more 70 countries will be getting the iPhone 4S too.
Lets talk more about the new camera system, with this latest tech camera, you can record 1080p HD videos with the support of real time image stabilization, and real time temporal noise reduction too. This new camera system iPhone 4S also comes with redesigned camera system including an 8MP sensor which is almost 60% more pixels than its predecessor, the iPhone 4’s camera. Camera also features a hybrid IR filter which will help in getting “better color accuracy” and “more color uniformity” and other than that, a 5 element lens is also added which results in 30% more sharpness. Schiller also stated that they have improved the face detection and white balance in the camera too.
“We have an amazing lens system, five lens elements. It’s now a really wide f2.4. Compared to most point and shoots we can let in a lot of light.”
Another cool feature for the iPhone 4S camera is that it can take an image in only 1.1 second and the next one in just a half second. He also joked about Droid Bionic’s image snapping time by saying:
“I don’t know what Droid Bionic customers have to do between taking pictures… like, go get coffee.”
Schiller also stated that iPhone 4S will have a completely redesigned antenna system. He said:
“Second — the wireless system. As you know we revolutionized with these steel bands on the outside of the phone. We’ve done something technically amazing. It can now intelligently switch between the antennas for even better call quality.”
