As we all know that yesterday, Apple announced the latest iOS update, the iOS 6 which is going to bring so many new features. One of the main features included in this update was Appleā€™s own app for navigation and maps. Well, now according to the latest rumor, we have heard that instead of Bing maps, Windows Phone 8 will be featuring Nokia Maps. Nokia Maps will feature 3D maps that will allow users to navigate offline in the Windows Phone 8 powered devices. So, we can see that how good that will make for Windows Phone users as they will be having an edge over the iOS and Android users. You have to keep in mind that Nokia Maps do not require an internet connection to access its maps and voice guided navigation, which will definitely be a pretty amazing feature.

Windows Phone 8 Coming With Deep Skype Integration

We have heard some other rumors that suggest that Windows Phone 8 will also be coming deep Skype integration, and users will be able to find Skype integration in the phone book as well. In addition to that, Microsoft will also allow users to add other 3rd party communication apps as well.

Now, we all know that June is the month when usually all the big companies organize events for the developers. This week Apple kicked off with a successful WWDC event where iOS 6 was announced. At the end of the month, Google will be holding I/O conference where we are hoping to hear about next Android update 4.1 or 5.0 and probably about the Nexus tablet. If you are a Windows phone fan, you will be glad to know that Microsoft is holding a developer conference next week where we are hoping to get some official information about Windows Phone 8 and its new features.

We have heard a lot of rumors about the Windows Phone 8 features including massive overhaul of the platform, addition of WinRT kernel from Windows 8 instead of Windows CE. There will be some front end improvements for Windows Phone 8 as well including a new design for camera app similar to Lenses app.
