PTI Facebook Pages Hacked
Hackers have hacked more than 30 official pages of PTI on Facebook. This came to light today when thousands of Pakistani Facebook users could not access the fan pages after repeated attempts. According to the President of PTI’s student wing Karachi, Arsalan Ghumman, several pages including that of Imran Khan, ISF and Dr. Alvi were hacked.
The time for hacking has been determined to be 3pm today (friday) according to Arsalan Ghumman. He also said that they were trying to recover the pages and were in constant contact with Facebook Authorities. He also said that they had no suspects yet and it was too early to point to anyone. PTI facebook pages have a number of administrators to monitor the pages but none of them were involved in the act. He said that complete details along with details regarding who performed this act will be announced infront of media in a press confrence.
PTI’s Social Media Manager, Imran Ghazali said that they have been targeted as PTI is the most dominant party in Pakistan on social networking websites. He said PTI chairman Imran Khan was told the news and he condemned the act. He also said that these pages have over 0.35 million active users.
