PTCL Revises Internet Packages Without Notifying Customers!

Last month, it was reported on several tech news sites that PTCL has revised its Broadband packages, and also added data limits on some packages too. According to the news report, starting from last month, PTCL will charge Rs. 1000 extra in current month’s broadband bill, if you have downloaded more than 50 GB data on your broadband connection.

Well, do not think that you might be alone in this, obviously there will be several thousands of other PTCL broadband users who will come to know about these revised rates including monthly data limit of 50 GBs right after seeing their current month’s bill.

So, all credit goes to PTCL, who didn’t give a damn about notifying their customers about these revised rates in the case of extra data usage. PTCL is a national company and should be more careful about these things but they are just carelessly running the company.

If PTCL cared a little about its customers, they would have put at least one print ad or TV commercial to notify their customers. On the other hand, there wasn’t even a slight hint of this plan has been put up on the PTCL website either. If you call PTCL helpline, they surely will apologize you for not putting this information up and will ensure you that the website will be updated soon.

PTCL, just like many other ISPs, keeps email ids and phone numbers in their records of all of their customers. They might be having some obvious reasons to not send any notification regarding the changes in tariffs.

So, for those who still don’t know the revised tariff plans of PTCL broadband, here we are going to repeat them again. Starting from last month, all the customers having 4 MB, 6 MB and 8 MB broadband packages will be charged extra if they exceed the data limit applied by PTCL. PTCL has applied 50 GB data limit for the above mentioned connections and if anyone does not abide by these limits, will have to pay straight Rs. 1000 extra in their broadband bill.

It clearly means that if you want to have more than 50 GB of data usage, then simply you have to pay Rs. 1000 more than you usually pay monthly in your broadband fee.

Check following table for more clear details on the revised tariff plan from PTCL:
