Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus Landing Soon In Markets

It’s not a news that Samsung has been trying to target the mid range market by introducing affordable smartphones for quite some time now but a little while ago the Korean manufacturer brought its most affordable smartphone to date called Samsung Galaxy Pocket. Well, it seems like the company is looking to continue this lineup of most affordable smartphones, as now we have received a leaked image of its successor which will be named as Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus.

Well, you have to keep in mind that Samsung did not make much improvement in the original Galaxy Pocket model, as they have only upgraded minor parts of the device. Just like the original device, Galaxy Pocket Plus will be bringing a 2.8 inch display screen. Samsung has improved the processor which is now 850 MHz and of course single core. Another big update is that this new device will be running on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Specifications of Galaxy Pocket Plus

The 850 MHz processor is made by Broadcom and in addition to that, the Galaxy Pocket Plus will be coming with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory under the hood. On the back, there is a 2MP camera present. The 2.8 inch TFT display will be producing QVGA resolution. It also features a 1200 mAh battery which will be able to produce enough juice to keep it running for a quite long time. Other connectivity features in Galaxy Pocket Plus include A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, USB v2.0, WiFi and FM Radio.

Well, we don’t think that this device is so much different or improved from the original Galaxy Pocket but still it is very good to know that Samsung is still targeting the lower end consumer base by releasing upgraded models of its lower end handsets. We all know that Samsung’s Galaxy Pocket and Galaxy Y are already being sold in huge numbers in the emerging markets and this Galaxy Pocket Plus will definitely make a great addition.
