Will Apple Be Successful In Kicking Out HTC Android Phones From USA?

There is no doubt that HTC is facing some of the difficult times right now. As, today there is court hearing, where it will be decided that whether HTC has violated Apple’s two patents or not. So, obviously there is a possibility that Apple might win the ruling, in that case, aftereffects for HTC are going to pretty serious and bad.

HTC smartphones

Previously HTC was originally declared to be violating two of the Apple’s patents which were mainly related to smartphones. After that, HTC filed an appeal against the ruling at the US Trade Commission and today its ruling is going to be held.

Results Can Be Real Bad For HTC

The aforementioned two patents are for smartphone’s display and transmit data which includes phone numbers, contact information and even applications. If the ruling goes in favor to Apple, then it is going to be pretty messed up state for HTC as they will have to pull off their Android smartphones from US markets. And keeping in mind the upcoming Christmas period, it can be proved pretty bad for HTC. HTC will have only one option in that case, which is to pay up. And if that situation comes, Apple will be able to name its price, and HTC will have to pay whatever that will be.

Android Might Be Next Target For Apple

Well, the results after HTC loses the appeal are going to be disastrous. If HTC fails to win the case then in our opinion, Android might be the next target for Apple. As you can clearly see that how can only HTC’s Android smartphones can violate these patents, which might be a big blow to Android community as well. According to the report from CultofMac:

“It’s hard to see how any Android device could not infringe, or how companies could work around them,” patent expert Florian Mueller said back in July, after HTC’s original patent loss.

Meanwhile, HTC is not in a good condition right now. HTC’s stock value has gone to the lowest level in the last 17 months which is a bad and an alarming news for the investors and the executives as well.

We can say that Apple has fixed a huge budget for its legal battles, which means that they are targeting their competitors in courts with a lot of extra cash. So, in many cases Apple has won and in others the competitors simply ran out of cash. So, Apple is really going to rule the markets while its competitors’ businesses are going down on the other hand.
