A Nokia Device Seen which is Suspected to be Running on Windows 8

We all know that all the manufacturers use different prototypes to test their hardware before making the final product. So, that is why there are fewer chances that those prototypes will look good. On the other hand, usually the prototypes of the upcoming devices look very ugly and that is why sometimes it is very difficult to recognize that device. Currently, Microsoft is holding its Tech-Ed conference in Amsterdam, and at the conference we have seen a mysterious device for the first time. Now, the rumors suggest that, this particular device is actually a prototype made by Nokia that is running on the latest Windows Phone 8.

Now, as you can see in the image, the smartphone is completely functional, and when we observe deeply, it seems like it is running on Windows Phone 8. Well, there is also a chance that it might an older experimental handset, and it is running on the Windows phone 7.8.

That cannot be cleared right now because both Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 7.8 are loaded with the redesigned Metro interface, newly designed live tiles and extra space on the home screen.

So, overall, the handset shown in the image is not that good-looking, and that is the reason why we are not expecting to hit the shelves ever. So, the actual purpose behind the development of this device would be to test the new operating system from Microsoft. So, it can also mean that this is one of the devices that are lined up by Nokia to release running with the latest Windows Phone 8. Here let me remind you that Nokia will be bringing its own lineup of Windows Phone 8 devices by the end of this year, of course after Windows Phone 8 debuts.

It is now confirmed that this device made by Nokia will never be hitting the markets because it is just a prototype. Actually, this unit is identical to the one used by Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore at the Microsoft Developer Summit held last week, where he demonstrated the latest Windows Phone 8 platform for the developers.
