Apple Complains In Court About The Unlock Mechanism Used In Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Well, it seems like the legal battle between Samsung and Apple is going to continue a bit more than you were thinking. Here we have brought another report which states that Apple has now complained in a court that the unlock mechanism introduced in Galaxy Nexus is infringing its patent “Slide To Unlock”.

As you might remember that its been very long when Apple started to protect its intellectual property very strictly and it all was basically started by Steve Jobs. Apple’s revolutionary leader was not really impressed with his rival companies like Samsung and Google and said that these companies have ripped of Apple’s ideas. Steve Jobs also said that Android is a stolen product and he will go thermonuclear to destroy it.

Sharp Will Provide Display Screens Of The Next iPad

Previously, Apple and Samsung, the two rivaling companies had a good relation, as Samsung was also supplying parts for Apple products but now this relation has been spoiled and now Apple is looking other suppliers to provide display screens for iPads. Recent reports also show that Sharp will be providing display panels for the next iPad which is expected to release in a couple of months.

Apple’s Claim Not Quiet Solid

So, the problem here is that Apple does not like Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus using the Slide to unlock feature. If you own a Galaxy Nexus, you have to say that the default unlock mechanism in the device is a form of slide to unlock when you need to access the Springboard, but still it is quite different. And you can also see that in the Android’s version, user have many other options as well which include users sliding in various directions and much more. So, we can safely say that Apple’s approach is right but the claim does not seem to be that solid.

So, we will see what the courts have to say about all this matter. Whether Apple will be able to kill two birds with one stone, as this lawsuit will affect both Google and Samsung in the form of Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 and Galaxy Nexus respectively.
