Well, Verizon is one of the largest US carriers are its lineup is very saturated with the leading devices from all the platform mainly including Android and iOS. Today we are going to discuss the two Top Android smartphones out there at the moment. Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Motorola DROID RAZR, as these are the special smartphones with high specs and are also very popular between Android lovers as well. So, today we will find out which one is the best of the best by keeping in mind a few factors and we will let you know that on which $300 device you should spend your hard earned cash.samsung vs motorola

Shape & Design

First of all lets talk about the designs, the design of DROID RAZR is very impressive due to its razor thin built, sturdy and smooth feel and the use of premium metals in its body. So, we can say that DROID RAZR has beaten the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in design, because the latter just has a typical design already used in many Samsung phones. So, the DROID RAZR captures our attention due to its catchy design, but Galaxy Nexus is not that ugly looking device, but its just typical and too conventional.

Display

On the other hand, when we talk about the display, Galaxy Nexus takes the lead due to its higher resolution and larger screen of 4.65 inches having 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. But when we compare it to DROID RAZR’s qHD 540 x 960 pixel resolution, you can clearly pick the winner, obviously Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Both devices have Super AMOLED displays as well as overly saturated color tunes, wide viewing angles and high contrast appearance which make their display enjoyable to our eyes.

There is a 1.3 MP front facing camera also present on the both devices and even on the same locations as well, with the help of which we can capture self portraits and video calling is also an option of course. DROID RAZR also has capacitive Android buttons at the bottom of the screen while Galaxy Nexus comes with Android ICS, so its on screen buttons are usually inside the interface which makes it look very clean.

Some Extra Features

Both devices include video out feature but DROID RAZR takes the lead by providing the fast solution in the form of microHDMI port while Galaxy Nexus requires an MHL adapter to connect with TV. There are some other features which are present in one device but not in the other. Just take the example of removable battery which is present in Galaxy Nexus while DROID RAZR doesn’t but the latter does have a microSD card slot which is not present in Galaxy Nexus of course.

Internal Power & Speed

Lets talk about the brains of the devices which we can undoubtedly say that both smartphones come with powerful modern processors. As DROID RAZR comes with a 1.2 GHz dual core TI OMAP 4430 processor and a 1.2 GHz TI OMAP 4450 CPU powers the Galaxy Nexus while both of the devices have 1 GB RAM in them. So, we can say that both devices are quick for the basic operations but while using some specific features both show choppiness.

Storage

If you like internal storage, then Galaxy Nexus should be your choice as it comes with 32 GB internal storage memory while the total storage memory of DROID RAZR is 24GB in which 8 GB is the internal memory and a 16 GB microSD card comes pre loaded in the device. Both devices, thankfully, sport 4G connectivity which is a relief and it means that we can load many complex sites in just seconds. Additionally, the browsing performance in the two devices is very much reasonable and we find them equal in this matter.

Camera

Galaxy Nexus comes with a 5MP Camera while DROID RAZR has 8MP one, but we can clearly say that quality of the images captured from both devices is very similar. Galaxy Nexus camera really has better color tones but DROID RAZR camera works pretty well in the low lighting situations.

Conclusion

So, we conclude our discussion saying that these two super smartphones are very similar in many areas but they have their own specialties which make them stand out. Looks wise we can say that DROID RAZR is the winner but its Ice Cream Sandwich which is present in Galaxy Nexus and it brings a fresh interface and better screen. So, we can say that if DROID RAZR had Android 4.0 then it was no doubt overall the better handset than any of its rivals right now.
