‘Unlock With Wi-Fi’ Introduced In Android Market

Today we have got a useful app for the Android users. We hope that Android fans would appreciate this new app so much. This new app is called “Unlock with Wi-Fi”. As its name we can understand its features, this app keeps your phone unlocked while you are connected to Wi-Fi at your home.

Many people have pin codes and unlock gestures on their phones and irritate so much to unlock it again and again. With this app, you can easily get out of that irritation and also keeping your phone secure.

This app “Unlock with WiFi” is created by Ben Hirashima. Your Android smartphones stays unlocked while you are at your home, so you don’t have to waste your time unlocking it with pin code or unlock gesture every time you receive a new notification.

People who keep their phone secure with a complex unlock pattern, will find this app spectacularly useful, and so they can keep their phones secure and out of reach of anyone else if they are not home. And when you are home you are not that worried about the security.

You can download this app from Android Market, after installing it on your Android smartphone, launch it and add your Wi-Fi network whichever you want, home/work. And that’s it, when you leave that network you will need to enter pin code to unlock your phone.

This app is available from Android Market for free and also a paid version. The difference in both is, in free version you can add only one Wi-Fi network and in paid version you can add as many network you want.

This app works like a charm, as advertised but if you use battery saving apps like Green power or Juice Defender, it might not work due to compatibility issues.

Description at Android Market:

“Unlock With WiFi unlocks your phone when you’re connected to your home WiFi network. What does “unlock” mean? It means you don’t have to enter your password/pattern/PIN when you turn on your phone. When you’re at home, or work, you don’t need to worry about losing your phone, so why should you have to enter your password?

How does it work?

When you get home and connect to your WiFi network, your device will unlock. Then when you leave, and the WiFi disconnects, the device will lock again. You have to enter your password the first time after you connect to your WiFi network. This is so that if someone steals or finds your phone, they can’t just bring it to your house to unlock it. After you enter your password once while connected to your WiFi network, you won’t have to enter it again until you leave/disconnect. This is great for SMS texting!”
