NFC: The Future Technology For Mobile Phones

Future Technology For Mobile Phones

The next revolutionary technology for mobile phones is the Near Field Communication or simply NFC. It is a data communication technology. This technology is likely to be used in a number of device which we use in daily life. By using NFS your mobile phone can act as your credit card, ID card and can be used easily and efficiently.

Working

Suppose you have to transfer a song from your mobile phone into another NFS enabled phone, then you can transfer the song or data by simply touching your phone with the other phone. Similarly you can use this technology to unlock the door of your room or house. You will only have to touch your NFC enabled mobile phone with a small sticker on the door and on recognizing the correct device it will unlock.

Difference between NFC and Bluetooth?

After reading that NFC is a data transferring technology a common question normally rises in everyone’s mind that what is the difference between NFC and Bluetooth? The answer to this question is that in NFC we don’t have to search the devices, enter security codes or something. It immediately transfers the data as soon as the devices are held near to each other.

NFC has a lesser data transfer rate than Bluetooth nut this can be over looked if we look at its advantages. With the security point of view it is really good because no one will be able to transfer data unless he holds his device 4cm from your phone. Surprisingly, NFC can also work when your mobile phone is switched off by taking some extra power from the other device.
